some of the best sushi i’ve ever had; I’ve visited Ora multiple times, and needless to say, i’m never disappointed. excellent sushi; it has this fresh taste and a refreshing aftertaste that you can only find in high quality sushi. the staff and workers are always so nice and welcoming: always up to talk and have a conversation. the atmosphere is so relaxing: darkish lights, cool tones, this cool wooden architecture. a perfect place to have a conversation with good, refreshing food. i highly recommend!!

If I could give Ora more than five stars, I absolutely would! This restaurant serves some of the most incredible Japanese cuisine I have ever had, and without a doubt, it is the best sushi I’ve eaten since arriving in the United States. I’ve tried many places, but none compare to the freshness, quality, and artistry of their sushi. The chef—whose name I regret forgetting—is absolutely phenomenal. His dedication to delivering an exceptional culinary experience is evident in every bite. The entire team is responsible, attentive, and committed to excellence, ensuring that each dish is not just food, but an experience. The atmosphere at Ora is warm and inviting, with a simple yet cozy setting that makes you feel at home. One of the best perks? They allow you to bring your own drinks, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Ora isn’t just a sushi restaurant—it’s a place that truly honors Japanese cuisine with precision, care, and authenticity. If you’re in the Chicago area and love sushi, this is the place to go. It has become my absolute favorite spot for Japanese food, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience!

I had a fantastic meal and experience at Ora. Dalbert and his team go out of their way to create a great experience all around. The quality of the fish, expertise of the chef and balance of flavors was beyond exceptional. Truly a restaurant that takes pride in their craft and stands behind their excellence. Ora is an absolute gem. I highly recommend it!

Ora has a small but targeted and great menu of nigiri and maki. The signature maki are all unique and very well made... so well made that no soy sauce or Wasabi are required. The setting is comfortable and intimate, with the sushi bar being in the dining room. Everything on the menu has been a tasty surprise of flavors. Dinner reservations are definitely recommended with the small number of seats available.

A truly indulgent contemporary sushi place. The rolls at Ora are so creative and full of texture. Highly recommend the following: - baked oyster with egg custard, so garlicky - Kani roll, has a surprising taste of lemon to compliment the crab BYOB with a charge per person, not too bad.

Went here for kid's Bday. Amazing place, food and staff. The rolls are complex with burst of various flavors in your mouth. The Oyster App is a must. You don't want to share. No ordinary Japanese place. The staff is attentive and they gave us non menu special made roll at no charge. Way above and beyond. You won't be disappointed.

The spicy salmon maki is INCREDIBLE. Easily in my top 3 rolls I’ve ever had - and I’ve had A LOT of sushi rolls. I’d go back just to eat this again. Everything else was solid too. The service was great, and the chef behind the counter made sure everything was excellent.
